Tabitha Nicolas

Tabitha Nicolas is a graduate from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago; currently working and living in Chicago. Her practice is primarily based in painting and drawing but often enters the realm of sculpture and wall installation. Her work is derived from various ideas about superficiality, pop-culture, coming of age, girl-hood, femininity, and the way those things define relationships between friends, partners, family and ones self. The exploration of these ideas are manifested through her use of color, humor, pattern, and imagery
